Meah Shearim
A step away from modern Jerusalem, one can find another world, a time tunnel to 18th century East Europe. The ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood of Meah Shearim is a living relic of glorious Jewish communities that perished and no longer exist. It offers a rare opportunity for immersion in a fascinating religious and cultural world, where life revolves around strict adherence to Jewish law, prayer and the study of Jewish religion.Documenting the people and life in this unique neighbourhood, was both a challenge and a unique experience for me.
